Getting Started
Review the information at www.hrci.org. You’ll find the eligibility requirements, the application and various tools to assist you in preparing for the exam.
There are multiple classes available for those needing assistance in preparing. The success rate is much higher for individuals taking a preparation course. Here are a few in our area:
• FWHRMA – The Fort Worth SHRM Chapter has a 12 week course on Wednesday nights in downtown Fort Worth. They use the SHRM Learning System. This class has been around for many years and has a 75% pass rate (compared to 55% national average). The class can be purchased separately from the materials, so the registration fee is much lower than the classes offered at local universities. $250/$725. http://www.fwhrma.org/sphr_phr.cfm
