Broadening Security Concerns in the Workplace

Most probably think the greatest risk to their operational safety is an active shooter, but there are far more insidious incidents that can compromise operational security and employee safety on a daily basis.

Other concerns now factor into the equation such as domestic violence manifesting as workplace violence, employees falling prey to violence outside of the workplace or on assignment, or security breaches more related to "social engineering" than to cyber attacks.  Also, what happens if your own people are
externally compromised through bribery or blackmail schemes, putting them at the bidding of those seeking internal access to your operations?  And how does all of this also factor into potential claims of "negligence" if pursued in court?  What is the legal strategy behind such cases and how can you more proactively mitigate such HR risks and liabilities?

Such scenarios and prevention strategies will be the focus of our program on
October 5th with our special guest speaker, Jeff McKissack, President of Defense By Design.

About Jeff McKissack

Jeff McKissack is a noted authority on the subjects of profiling and threat assessment.  He has addressed over 350,000 in live audiences during his 29 years of speaking, and countless others through radio and TV interviews.  You may occasionally see Jeff providing story commentary on our FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC or CW news affiliates from time to time as he has done for years.

He is a contributing writer to several state and national trade publications, and author of the book Power Proverbs for Personal Defense

In addition, Jeff regularly conducts employee training seminars to companies and corporations as well as value-add events to their preferred clients and members.  He also provides continuing education programs to those in the financial, medical, legal, educational, real estate, human resource, risk management and insurance professions.  Jeff has addressed Ft. Worth HRMA, Dallas HRMA, North Texas HRMA, San Antonio HRMA, and HR Southwest as he understands our pain points related to his area of expertise.

But when asked, Jeff best summarizes his work and mission by saying, "My goal is to help you spot trouble 'BEFORE' trouble spots you!"  That is a message both personally and professionally beneficial to us all.
