    ModularDesign+ is looking for a Human Resources Representative  to work on a full time based, located onsite in the Euless, Texas plant.  ModularDesign+ is a national provider of small to medium format modular structures primarily working with clients in the Healthcare, Education and Hospitality market segments.  The company was formed as part of a strategic alliance with a 1,000+ person integrated global design firm.  The firm has a strong brand and market share in those markets, having been named to the Fast Company’s Top 10 Most innovative firms two out of the last three years. For so long, modular design meant inferior design, but we founded ModularDesign+ with the belief that great design and standardization should not be mutually exclusive. ModularDesign+ enables organizations to reap the benefits of modular building while completely customizing the design of the modules to meet their needs – allowing firms to achieve great design and speed-to-market advantages concurrently.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The selected candidate will perform as a Human Resources Business Partner based in the ModularDesign+ plant.   You will be part of the firm-wide Human Resources team focusing on Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Employee Relations and Learning and Development and will be responsible to work effectively with MD+ leadership and employees to become a trusted partner.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    Provide full-cycle recruitment support including opening jobs, conducting candidate searches which will include sourcing and contacting prospective candidates, and supporting the interview and selection process.
    Work with MD+ leadership in reviewing and executing employee agency contracts and placing job orders for temporary staff. 
    Conduct new hire onboarding ensuring compliance training and other requirements are met.
    Be the main point of contact for employee relations, including providing guidance to managers on staff performance issues.
    Liaison to the firm wide Benefits Team including supporting new hire enrollment and annual open enrollment.
    Participate in staff training and development initiatives.  
    Assist with immigration matters for staff as needed.
    Conduct staff exit interviews.
    Create and/or modify existing policies and procedures, in concert with HR Team Members, that support MD+ and the manufacturing operations.
    Other responsibilities as required.

    7+ years of experience performing in a Human Resources Generalist role with at least 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing, construction, hospitality, security, or similar high-volume, safety-focused industry.  
    Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
    Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
    Must have strong written and verbal skills
    Good judgment, fairness, impartiality, professionalism, tact, sensitivity, diplomacy, and ability to get along with and influence others. 
    Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team focused environment.
    Experienced and knowledgeable regarding employment regulations, including deep knowledge of Texas-specific employment laws, leaves, hourly payroll, etc.
    Experience in partnering with management to create a positive employee relations climate.
    Demonstrated success in sourcing and recruiting diverse talent in a competitive environment.
    Must be organized, efficient and detail oriented.
    Experience working effectively in a multi-location, matrixed environment is essential.
    Experience working in a fast-paced high growth environment requiring quick turnaround to meet customer requests.
    Experience working in a small business, start-up, or private equity company helpful. 
    Good working knowledge of safety in a manufacturing environment preferred.
    Proficient in MS Office, familiar with Application Tracking Systems.
