Leading healthy conflict through turbulent times
Organizations expect us to be confident and strategic leaders through times when there is chaos and change. No organization has a "conflict free" environment and especially not during turbulence. In fact, you WANT conflict – healthy conflict - as this can create innovation and greater team cohesion during good times and bad. Unhealthy conflict is full of name calling, back stabbing and subtle sabotage. How do HR Professionals lead conflict in a way that is healthy and actually builds relationships, supports customers, saves money and makes money for the company? By attending this monthly session, participants will:
• Identify the core components of conflict and common “root causes” of conflict in organizations.
• Understand how to grow the organization to view conflict as healthy and necessary.
• Gain tips and tools for leading healthy conflict in our teams and organizations before turbulence hits.
About the presenter,
Alice Dendinger, SPHR has over 30 years of experience in the field of Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. She started the Alice Dendinger Alliance Group in 2002 and PivotU in 2014. Through consulting, training, and coaching, Alice has focused her work on strategic management, organizational development, employee relations and communication, mediation and conflict resolution, performance management; and assisting the leaders, managers, supervisors, and direct reports at every level to "work better together." Attendees not registered online will be considered Walk-In registrations and will be charged the guest rate of $35.
