Barbara Ashbaugh, CPLP is passionate about improving human performance. She has developed a formula for identifying performance problems, selecting and designing actions, managing workplace solutions, and measuring results. “My formula is designed to help Human Resource Professionals engage employees to drive results and demonstrate to the C-suite how this improvement impacts the bottom line.

I align the improvement process with the organization’s desired business outcomes. The process focuses on identifying performance needs throughout the various phases of the plan.”

When employee engagement drives results it helps the human resource professional: 1. Identify the costs of lost utilization 2. Close the gap of lost utilization 3. Understand the company culture and it’s level of engagement 4. Develop competency models for the best person – job fit 5. Provide criteria for behavioral interviewing 6. Enforce strategic recruitment planning 7. Provide employee orientation/culture immersion 8. Cause training to develop programs to close performance gaps 9. Make appropriate compensation decisions 10. Identify where coaching and mentoring is essential 11. Improve succession planning 12. Improve employee retention 13. Enable continuity of productivity & intellectual capital 14. Sustain customer retention 15. Drive short and long term market success 16. Calculate attrition risk 17. Identify early warning signals when star performers are contemplating leaving the company 18. Reinforce appropriate management behavior with feedback 19. Drive continual improvement in human performance 20. Become a star on the leadership team reaching new heights by engaging employees to drive for results.
