Bob Cartwright (SPHR)

President and CEO of Intelligent Compensation, LLC, a compensation and human resource management consulting firm located in the greater Austin, Texas area. Mr. Cartwright has 30+ years of diversified experience in compensation and total rewards, human resource management, and strategic/business planning and he works with for-profit companies covering the spectrum of industries and not-for-profit organizations across the country including business associations, charities, foundations, trade and membership associations and credit unions.  Bob speaks throughout the U.S. and he is often quoted as a business / compensation expert in newspapers and print media around the country. He has authored and co-authored articles on various compensation and human resource topics.  In 2013, Bob was named Volunteer of the Year by Texas SHRM at the HR Southwest Conference.  Mr. Cartwright’s current professional affiliations include; Board Member, At-Large District Director, and Co-Chair Collaborative Industry Alliances Committee on the Texas SHRM State Council; Member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Texas Society of Association Executives; Member of SHRM; Member of World-At-Work; and he serves on the Board of Directors and Employment Relations Committee for the Texas Association of Business.

Translating Business Strategy, Planning and Performance Management into Highly Effective Compensation and Reward Programs.  The effective development and delivery of excellent products and services often times starts with an aligned business strategy, a great game plan and engaged employees. By attending this presentation, participants will be provided key information on how to develop highly effective business leadership, strategy planning, operational and business performance measurement, and performance management processes that can be utilized to execute smart strategic business initiatives and an effective performance based incentive compensation and reward programs. In addition, participants will learn how these strategies can lead their organizations to excellence.   Mr. Cartwright’s presentation has been approved for HRCI Strategic Credit.

Legal Hour - Lon R. Williams

Mr. Williams is a Shareholder at Polsinelli law firm.  His presentation will focus on updates regarding human resource related federal legislation.  Lon Williams is not just a litigator but a counselor to clients.  His employment-related litigation practice is often described as an advice and counsel practice.  Lon’s experience includes assisting his clients at the highest levels of management, including the Board level as well as executives in operations, finance and human resources, to determine solutions to day-to-day challenges regarding compliance with the numerous employment-related federal and state laws.  He regularly assists clients on matters relating to the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Uniformed Service Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration.  Lon represents companies of all sizes in many industries, with a particular emphasis in the health care, staffing, energy, financial services, education, and defense contracting sectors.  Mr. William’s presentation has been approved for HRCI General Credit.

Thomas Boyle

Director of Product Strategy at SilkRoad Technology.  With 15 years of experience, Thomas has consulted with hundreds of organizations on their unique Talent Management strategies.  Focusing on Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance Management and Social Media, Tom understands the marriage between unique business processes and system needs.  As a true product evangelist, Tom’s passion for innovation and knowledge of SaaS solutions has earned him a spot as an up-and-coming industry expert to watch.  Tom is a regular contributor in Industry magazines and blogs, including HR Bartender, the Ladders and SilkRoad Ink. 

Building an Onboarding Strategy.  It takes a lot of time and money to attract, screen and hire the right talent for any organization and statistics show that 1 in 6 new hires will leave in the first 6 months of employment. Therefore it becomes critical for employers to ensure that new hires have a good onboarding experience in order to provide them the tools they will need to be successful day one and beyond.

This session will explore where other organizations are when it comes to automated onboarding and how your organization can leverage technology to streamline the onboarding process increasing day one readiness, shorten time to contribution increase employee engagement.  Mr. Boyle’s presentation has been approved for HRCI General Credit.

All Online reservations are due Monday at noon prior to the  meeting. Online registration will be closed at  that time.  Attendees not registered online will be considered walk-in   registrations and will be charged the guest rate of $35.
