The HR Specialist II is responsible to assist the Human Resource Manager in every facet of the human resource function with a primary focus on administrative process and practices.
Back-up for Human Resource Manager, benefits administrator and worker’s compensation claims processing.
Supports plant labor relations issues, grievances, disciplines and other employee issues as required.
Directs training efforts of the plant through in–plant training and programs designed to improve team member skills in production, quality and safety.
Develop and administer new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Data (workforce) analysis and reporting of HR KPI’s
Assists in global recruitment, interviewing and hiring at all levels,
Conducts (HRIS) system training.
Serve as subject matter expert to employees and front line leaders on people related issues.
Supports department budget management.
Manages quarterly production bonus performance tracking and calculations
Assists with legal briefs for EEOC, DOL and NLRB cases
Vendor Management of suppliers and third party administrators
Undertakes or coordinates special projects and reports.
Performs any other duties required in pursuance of the function of this position or as directed.
Follow all safety, ISO14001/TS16949 procedures.
Assists with leading engagement activities at all levels
Other duties as assigned
· Four-year College Degree.
· 3+ years in a union environment
· Experience as a Human Resource Generalist with proficiencies in benefits administration, WCB claim management and administration of collective agreements is preferred.
· Experience in health & safety management knowledge is preferred.
· Computer literacy and the ability to adapt to impacts of changing legislation and work environment.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
