    POSITION OVERVIEW:                                                  

     

    The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for the overall coordination of HR administrative services, HRIS system administration, and Payroll processes at the local North American site.  The HRBP acts as an HR advisor to supervisors and mid-level management, ensuring compliance and providing guidance around employee relations.  The HRBP manages and maintains all HR related metrics and statistics, providing reports and dashboards as requested to inform strong business decisions by leadership.  The HRBP also provides guidance and consultation with facility employees, responding to and addressing issues and concerns around benefits, employee relations, and performance.  The HRBP is the point person and liaison for all staffing agency vendors, responding, investigating, and resolving all temporary associate issues and concerns. The HRBP leads all recruitment initiatives for hourly and individual contributor salary positions within the facility, ensuring appropriate staffing to meet operational demands.

    REPORTS TO:               Vice President of Human Resources, North America

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    Achieve Operational / Financial Performance:

    • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payroll through Finance G/L reporting.
    • Provide oversight to and administration of the HRIS systems including optimizing performance capability and reporting.
    • Lead the site recruiting process – Prepare and post opportunities, track and screen applicants, process final outcome letters, process changes and onboard new hires.
    • Acts as the HR Business Partner for the Temporary employee process:
      • Understand customer requirements for staffing
      • Manage agency relationships to ensure the best candidates
      • Requisition and source temporary employees
      • Orient candidates and manage placement
      • Oversee onboarding and exit process
      • Participate in the measurement of the success of each temporary associate.
    • Manage the absentee process:
      • Document absentee calls
      • Enter data
      • Communicate updates in a timely manner as required
    • Provide oversight and manage the site administration of employee benefits including:
      • New hire orientation
      • Open enrollment
      • Billing reconciliation
      • Plan communication
    • Oversee unemployment claims 

    Customer/Partners:

    • Participate in tactical medical insurance broker meetings and utilization reviews.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to employees and managers pertaining to HR related issues.
    • Appropriately handle and support employee issues, engaging resources as necessary for timely resolution.
    • Oversee the coordination of employee events to create the best experience.
    • Promote the company image and brand both internally and externally. 

    Administrative Support:

    • Create, maintain, and achieve active and inactive hard copy and electronic employee and temporary records in all HR / administrative systems to ensure accurate processing, retention, data organization, and legal compliance.
    • Update, maintain, and distribute communications regarding employees including new hire announcements, organizational changes, and organization charts.
    • Create, update, run, and maintain electronic employee data files, spreadsheets, training records, and / or HRIS query reports as required.
    • Support department administrative annual cycle of activities including, but not limited to:
      • Performance Management
      • Filings
      • Corporate communications
    • Participate in and provide support to internal and external audits.
    • Any other duties as assigned.

    Travel:                                           Minimal, up to 10% domestic & 5% international



    Requirements

    BEST Requirements to be considered for this role:

    Education

    • Minimum of associates degree in Business or related technical degree from a regionally accredited college or university required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management, or related technical degree from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.

    Experience/Knowledge

    • Minimum of five (5) years of HR administrative experience required.
    • Basic knowledge of functional HR practices, related disciplines, and working knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements in TX and at the Federal level required.
    • Direct experience recruiting an hourly workforce and overseeing the administration of temporary workers in a manufacturing environment required
    • Prior experience working in an HR capacity within a manufacturing environment required.
    • Strong experience with HRIS or HCM systems required.
    • Prior experience with ADP payroll and HCM modules required.
    • Minimum of intermediate level proficiency with relational database applications such as Excel, Access, SQL, and/or ADP required.
    • Prior experience handling, managing, and maintaining confidential information required.
    • Strong analytical ability – able to analyze large data sets and complex behavioral situations leading to recommendations that inform business decisions required.
    • Minimum of intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
    • Minimum of intermediate level proficiency with web-based tools (internet browsers, internet search engines [Boolean searches], and SaaS) required.

    Certifications/Licenses/Registration

    The following certifications are highly preferred but not required:

    • PHR
    • SHRM-CP
    • SPHR
    • SHRM-SCP

     

    BEST Qualifications for Success in this role:

     

    • MBA with a Human Resources focus highly preferred.
    • Seven (7) or more years of HR administrative experience preferred.
    • Prior supervision of HR support or administrative office staff preferred.
    • Prior experience with ADP Workforce NOW preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge of a broad spectrum of Human Resources disciplines including, but not limited to Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Organizational Design, Total Rewards, Performance Management, Diversity and Inclusion, and Safety and Security highly preferred.
    • Strong understanding and working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law (ACA, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, GINA, OSHA, Title VII, etc.) preferred.
    • Three (3) or more years working in an HR capacity within a manufacturing environment preferred.
