The Payroll/Employment Specialist is responsible for timekeeping and payroll processes, new hire applicant processing, background checks, employee file maintenance as well as other HR-related projects.
Coordinates the new hire process, including offer letters, background checks, MVR, drug screens, etc. Coordinates all new hire paperwork and performs data entry into all HR-related systems. Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for over 300 employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions. Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve concerns. Responsible for employee file maintenance, including scanning, proper file placement, audits, shredding. Handles all I-9 tracking, management and compliance.
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2-3 years payroll experience. UltiPro experience highly desired. Valid Texas Drivers’ License, clear MVR and ability to be insured.
